Bright Curiosity

This is my darling CoCo Puff, my cat who usually takes completely terrible photos. As soon as I got the school camera, I thought I would test out it's abilities and picture quality, since my previous camera was on it's way out-- and what better test subject than my cat. I got her sitting in one place and kept snapping my fingers around to keep her looking alert, and out of a lot of crappy test photos, I got this. I colorized it, using a higher saturation to make the color in her eye deeper. This will probably be the only good photo I ever get of her.

Abandoned

This picture was taken in East Kingston at an abandoned cement factory. At first, I took this picture for framing but the brightness of the graffiti really caught my eye. I then decided to use this photo for the color assignment rather than framing. To make the graffiti  jump out even more, I made everything else black and white, including two of the pieces of the art work. I think this enhances the composition making the image look more interesting and really grabs your attention.

A Clip From The Past

I was at the Saugerties Flee Market over the summer when I saw this photo of the father and his child, I thought it was a great picture, so bought it. When I look at this photo I feel like this picture is like a timeline, that it is only one frozen moment of history and that the string only has more clips to come.
